# Sending domains and inboxes

> **For AI agents:** the complete index of ColdMeetings pages is [llms.txt](https://coldmeetings.com/llms.txt). Every page is also served as markdown at its URL plus .md.

Register sending domains, publish SPF, DKIM and DMARC records, check them against live DNS, and let new inboxes ramp up with real low volume sends.

Add a domain you own, get the exact DNS records, and have ColdMeetings check them against live DNS. A mailbox only sends once its domain passes.

Example screen: Sample data. A sending domain with its SPF, DKIM and DMARC checks, five mailboxes of different ages with each mailbox's daily send cap, and the records to publish.

## What you get with domains and inboxes

Cold email starts with infrastructure that mailbox providers can trust. These are the parts ColdMeetings handles.

### The exact DNS records, ready to publish

Add a domain you already own and the API returns the TXT records it needs for SPF and DMARC, plus the DKIM record once your mailbox host has issued the key. With a DNS host connected, the records can be published for you; otherwise you publish them yourself.

Example (sample data): Records for trybrightline.example

- SPF: TXT trybrightline.example (v=spf1 include:… ~all)
- DMARC: TXT _dmarc.trybrightline.example (v=DMARC1; p=none; rua=mailto:dmarc@…)
- DKIM: TXT selector._domainkey.trybrightline.example (Listed once your mailbox host issues the key)

### A live DNS check before any mailbox sends

The check looks up the real records. A domain is marked authenticated only when SPF, DKIM and DMARC are all published, and only mailboxes on authenticated domains are handed to the sending engine.

Example (sample data): DNS check for getbrightline.example

- Passed: SPF (Found)
- Passed: DKIM (Found)
- Problem: DMARC (Not found)

Publish the DMARC record, then check again. Mailboxes on this domain send once all three pass.

### Ramp-up by real, low volume sending

Every mailbox has a daily send cap that rises with its age. New mailboxes send a few real messages to real prospects and climb from there. There is no warmup pool and no simulated engagement.

Example (sample data): Daily send cap by mailbox age

- Days 0 to 6: 5 a day
- Days 7 to 13: 10 a day
- Days 14 to 20: 20 a day
- Days 21 to 27: 30 a day
- Day 28 and later: 40 a day

### Separate domains, sized to your plan

Send from separate domains and keep your main company domain off the list. The software cannot tell which of your domains is the main one, so this is a rule we follow when setting up an account. Each plan sets how many domains and mailboxes you can add.

Example (sample data): Limits by plan

- Professional: 12 domains, 30 mailboxes
- Enterprise: 40 domains, 120 mailboxes
- Your main domain: Kept off the sending list

## Frequently asked questions

### Do you buy the domains for me?

Not through the software. The API registers domains you already own and tells you which records to publish. On Professional you pay domain, mailbox and sending software suppliers directly at cost. Enterprise lists infrastructure as included.

### Is there a warmup pool?

No. Warmup pools trade fake conversations between mailboxes, and ColdMeetings does not use them. A new mailbox sends a few real messages to real prospects and moves up its daily cap as it ages.

### What helps my emails reach the inbox?

Authenticated domains and sensible volume remove common reasons for rejection. Inbox placement also depends on the mailbox providers, your list and your copy.
