Acceptable use policy
What you may not do with ColdMeetings.

Why this exists
Cold email only works for everyone when senders behave. This policy sets the lines. It forms part of the terms of service.
What is not allowed
- Spam: bulk email to people with no plausible reason to expect it, or to lists you have no right to use.
- Harassment: repeated, threatening, abusive or targeted messages to any person.
- Deceptive headers: false sender names, false addresses, misleading subject lines, or a subject that pretends to continue an earlier conversation (such as starting with "Re:" or "Fwd:").
- Sending without an unsubscribe link or without a real postal address of the sender in each message.
- Sending to addresses that opted out, bounced for good or reported spam, or to addresses in regions the product has blocked.
- Warmup or simulated-engagement schemes: mailboxes that send to and answer each other, fake opens, fake replies, or any pool built to look like real engagement.
- Phishing, malware, fraud, or selling anything illegal.
- Trying to get around the product's safeguards, including the suppression list, the region restrictions, the unsubscribe and address requirements, and the sending limits.
What every message must have
- An unsubscribe link and the sender's postal address in every message.
- A genuine sender identity and a subject that says what the message is about.
- A working way to opt out that you honor at once.
Sending limits and pauses
New mailboxes send at a limited daily volume that grows as the mailbox ages. We may pause a campaign when spam complaints are high.
What happens when the rules are broken
We may pause a campaign, suspend an account or end access, and we may report illegal activity to the proper authorities.
To report abuse of ColdMeetings, write to hello@coldmeetings.com with the message and its headers.
